The end of the road for one of the most recognizable sports cars of our generation is fast approaching and you have until the end of July if you want to place your order. Dodge announced it has notified its dealers to ship all orders for the 2023 Challenger – along with the 2023 Charger – by the end of this month. More importantly, the automaker also said the final vehicle will roll off the production line “by December 31” this year.
“For enthusiasts looking to order a Dodge Challenger or Charger, especially high-powered models, such as the Scat Pack, SRT Hellcat, or special edition models, this is truly the last call for ‘Last Call,’” Tim Kuniskis, Dodge CEO, said. “As we transition into the exciting future of electric muscle cars, we mark the end of an unforgettable era for Dodge, and time is running out for those who want to own one.”
The third generation Challenger was launched in 2008, which makes it one of the oldest vehicles still being sold in the United States. While retaining its basic shape almost unchanged, the muscle car differs markedly from the original 2008 model with more powerful engines and more available technology. The Charger, in turn, debuted in 2011 but shares many of the same components as the previous generation sedan, which launched in 2006.

You’ll still find everything from entry-level SXT models to the latest special edition versions, but we have a feeling the available cars will run out soon.
As for the future of its muscle car lineup, Dodge previewed what will come with the Charger Daytona SRT Concept. These are electric vehicles with retro design cues and incredible output figures – from the base 455 horsepower version to the 800-volt SRT Banshee model with over 800 hp. The automaker says its first glimpse into its electric future is already available at dealerships in the form of the Hornet R/T with a 288-hp hybrid powertrain and 32 miles of all-electric range.
