The refreshed 2023 Cadillac XT4 brings major changes to the luxury crossover, including new front and rear fascias, an overhauled interior cockpit, along with many other features and updates. One of those changes applies to the vehicle’s fuel economy rating despite the fact that the 2024 XT4 doesn’t receive any sort of update to its powertrain lineup as part of the refresh.
The 2024 Cadillac XT4 in front-wheel drive guise is rated at 24 mph city and 29 mph highway for a combined 26 mpg. When compared side by side with the fuel economy ratings for the 2023 FWD XT4, the refreshed model is slightly more efficient in city driving conditions, up 1 mpg, while 1 mpg less efficient on the highway.
The all-wheel-drive variant of the 2024 Cadillac XT4, meanwhile, is rated at 23 mpg city and 28 mpg highway with an average rating of 25 mpg. That represents a 1 mpg improvement over the 2023 AWD XT4 in city conditions, a 1 mpg slide in terms of highway driving, but overall, the 2024 model is 1 mpg more efficient.

As with the 2023 model year, the 2024 Cadillac XT4 has one powertrain: a turbocharged 2.0L I4 engine (production code LSY). The boosted four-cylinder petrol is rated for 237 horsepower and 258 pound-feet of torque, and is mated to a nine-speed automatic transmission. Front-wheel drive is standard while all-wheel drive is optional.
Production of the 2024 Cadillac XT4 begins in April 2023 at the Cadillac Fairfax plant in Kansas.
