2025 Cadillac CT5 Production Start Date Pushed Back Slightly

Posted on

The 2025 Cadillac CT5 is getting a much-anticipated mid-cycle refresh, which was finally announced in September 2023. Production of the refreshed model was initially slated to kick off April 2nd, but as Cadillac Society has recently learned, the start of production has been pushed back slightly.

With the delay, April 24th, 2024 is the newest planned start of regular production (SORP) date. The aforementioned date is exclusive to the production of the 2025 Cadillac CT5 Luxury, Premium Luxury, and Sport trim levels, and does not include the high-performance CT5 V-Series models including the recently-revealed 2025 CT5-V and CT5-V Blackwing, which adhere to a different production schedule. Additionally, we must note that these dates are tentative and subject to change at any time.

As a reminder, the 2025 Cadillac CT5 refresh will feature an overhauled front fascia, consisting of a new hood, a larger grille, and new headlights, which contain vertically-stacked LED projectors along with an uninterrupted Daytime Running Light (DRL), which has become a hallmark of Cadillac exterior design. Overall, the new fascia results in a lower and wider aesthetic.

Inside, the refreshed 2025 Cadillac CT5 adopts the marque’s signature 33-inch wraparound LED infotainment system with full user customization, Amazon Alexa and Google Assistant as standard on all trims.

The powertrain options will carry over from the pre-refresh (2020-2023) model years, starting with the turbocharged 2.0L I4 gasoline engine (production code LSY), rated at 237 horsepower and 258 pound-feet of torque. Models with this engine receive the 350T badge on the decklid. The twin-turbocharged 3.0L V6 gasoline engine (production code LGY), rated at 335 horsepower and 405 pound-feet of torque, will remain optional exclusively on the Premium Luxury trim. Models with the twin-turbo six continue to receive 550T badging out back. All three trim levels will be paired to the Cadillac 10-speed automatic transmission, offered in RWD as standard or optional AWD.
