The Audi A6 E-Tron is the brand’s upcoming electric sedan. This spy shot is perhaps our first look at the EV’s RS6 performance variant.
The body closely matches the previous A6 E-Tron spy shots. However, this one has larger brake discs with big red calipers. This has led spy photographers to think that the vehicle here could be the RS6 EV.

We can’t be completely sure this is accurate. We wish the RS6 had a more aggressive body too. However, the camouflage on this vehicle could be hiding something.
The exterior design of the car includes split headlights and a smooth nose with trapezoidal intakes along the lower fascia. There is a roofline that is slim from the sides. At the rear, there are wedge-shaped taillights.
Audi hasn’t shown the interior of any of its A6 E-Tron concepts yet. We expect there to be a technology-focused cabin with a high-resolution display, judging by the elements within the brand’s latest offering.
Technical details about the RS6 E-Tron are still a mystery, but there are some conclusions we can draw. The standard A6 E-Tron uses Audi’s Premium Platform Electric (PPE) architecture, so the performance variant is no different.
The A6 E-Tron concept produces 470 horsepower (350 kilowatts) and 590 pound-feet (800 Newton-meters). This allows for an approximate acceleration of up to 62 miles per hour (100 kilometers per hour) in less than 4.0 seconds. We’d expect the RS6 variant to have significantly more than that to become worthy of the moniker, judging by past applications.
The A6 E-Tron concept uses a 100 kilowatt-hour battery pack. This provided a projected range of over 435 miles (700 kilometers) in WLTP tests. The system can charge up to 270 kilowatts which means it can travel 186 miles (300 km) in about 10 minutes.
The production-spec A6 E-Tron goes on sale as a 2024 model. We expect a full debut sometime in 2023. The Avant wagon variant joins the year after the sedan. The performance variant will come after the standard one.
