Now, Cadillac Society We’ve seen the China-spec Lyriq Sport AWD, and the vehicle is dressed in a subtle blue exterior color that we haven’t seen on the road before.
The name of this particular color roughly translates to Evening Sky Rain Blue. While the color was featured at the Lyriq launch event in China, the model seen in this photo represents the first time we’ve seen the soft periwinkle hue in real life.
Note that the vehicle is equipped with black daytime opening (DLO) trim elements, black mirror caps, and black “grill” surrounds, all elements consistent with the Sport trim level. However, the door handles are chrome plated, an odd detail, considering that another example from the Lyriq Sport featured black handles.
Behind, we find the smoky (Neutral Density) taillight assembly, which has been darkened to create the Lyriq Sport Lyriq’s more sinister look. The Liftgate is equipped with a 700E badge, indicating that this particular Cadillac Lyriq has all-wheel drive facilitated by a dual-motor setup. As for power output, this setup is rated at 503 horsepower (375 kW) and 524 pound-feet of torque for the Chinese market, and is said to be capable of accelerating from 0 to 60 mph in 4.9 seconds. The total driving range on a single charge is up to 287 miles.
As a reminder, Lyriq uses the luxury brand’s BEV3 platform. Production of the 2023 Cadillac Lyriq for China has been under way since May 2022 at China’s Jinqiao factory in Shanghai. Lyriq started arriving at the luxury marque’s Pure Electric IQ chain of stores late last year. Meanwhile, Lyriq for the North American market was built at its Spring Hill plant in Tennessee.
