The list of finalists competing for the 2023 Car of the Year award has been decided. The jury, which consists of more than 60 members representing several European countries, has selected seven cars from a long list of 27 candidates. Interestingly, all of the finalists had some form of electrification – if not fully battery-electric.
There will be a final round of voting taking place in early January. That round will determine the winner of the 2023 Car of the Year award, which will be announced at a ceremony at the 100th Brussels Motorshow on January 13, 2023.

For 2022, the Car of the Year jury has up to 61 members representing 23 European countries. representation for each country is proportional to the size of that country’s car market and its importance in car manufacturing. France, Germany, the United Kingdom, Italy and Spain each have six members. Other countries have fewer representatives.
