No one can’t deny the classic charm of old Mercedes-Benz vehicles. Apart from the tank-like builds that Mercs from the 50s and 60s are known for, they are also known for their style.
Both of these traits are present in the unique Mercedes motorhome that recently went on sale at Bring Trailers. Originally born as a bus, this Mercedes-Benz O321H bus was introduced in the mid-50s and was produced for a decade in Mannheim, Germany. Before being turned into a camper, the bus was said to have been used to transport the Swiss hockey team to games.

Documentation of this interesting building by Bat went as far as 10 years ago. Obviously, it was transported across the Atlantic and spent time in Massachusetts and Michigan before sellers got their hands on it in 2020.
In its current form, the bus is painted brown with red accents on the body, matched by a 20-inch steel set. There was some exterior damage that the seller stated, including peeling and rusting paint. It comes with three doors, front and rear sunroof, exterior equipment cabinet and ball hitch. What makes this bus even more interesting is the 12 roof windows that are used for sightseeing. This allows a sufficient amount of sunlight to enter the cabin, providing a comfortable atmosphere.
The classic Mercedes-Benz motorhome seats seven people in individual seats – six of which are covered in vinyl to match the exterior. The middle compartment houses the living, dining and kitchen areas, with a sofa that converts to a bed. The back is reserved for the bed.
Powering this old-school camper is a rear-mounted 5.7-liter inline six-cylinder diesel mill, which sends power to the rear wheels via a five-speed manual transmission. The owner stated that the engine had an oil leak.
Unfortunately, if you are interested in this building, Bat had sold the bus for $75,321 earlier this month.
