Damd Hustler Country Packs Rugged Look Into Pint Sized Packages

How not to immediately like a vehicle called the Damd Hustler Country? And, it also looks very charming. This new offering from Japanese aftermarket company Damd modifies the Suzuki Hustler into a more rugged looking machine.

Compared to the standard Hustler (see comparison below), the Damd kit includes several upgrades. The new front fascia has a box underside and a bumper with fog lights on the outside corners. The grille is now a mesh panel with the “DAMD” badge in the center. Revised panel with horizontal bar is body color. The tweaked hood has an inlet at the end.

Damd hasn’t shown the Hustler Country from any angle but the front three-quarters. It seems that the mirror cover has a more square shape. The basket on the roof expands the vehicle’s storage space. A sticker depicting crossed wrenches is on the fuel filler door.

Judging by the rest of the Damd body kit, there may be minor changes at the rear, such as trim revisions.

The Hustler Country body kit went on sale in Japan in late December. It will also be exhibited at the Tokyo Auto Salon which will run from January 14 to January 16, 2023.

Damd already sold a body kit for Hustler called Classico. True to its name, it looks retro with a grille with horizontal slats and faux wood stripes on each side of the body.

Hustler is the second generation in Japan. It suits the company Kei class, which limits engine size and power output. Buyers can choose from a mild hybrid assisted, naturally aspirated, 660 cc three-cylinder engine or a turbocharged version from the factory. All of them come with a CVT. There are front and all wheel drive configurations.

If you like what Damd did to this Hustler, it’s worth checking out some of the company’s other creations. The designers really liked turning the Suzuki Jimny into another vehicle. There are kits to give small SUVs the look of classic Ford Broncos, Land Rover Defenders, and Mercedes-Benz G-Classes.
