At this point, we think we’ve established that the 992-generation Porsche 911 Turbo S is something of a stunner in terms of straight-line speed. We’ve seen him challenge various cars (and motorcycles) in drag races – most of them seeing Porsches cross the quarter-mile marker first.
But Ferrari begged to be different. In this fight, arranged by a UK-based publication carwow, the Porsche 911 Turbo S was challenged by the Ferrari SF90 Stradale. With the Italian hypercar being much more expensive than the German coupe, of course the price difference is causing something, right?

If you agree, yes, you are right. The Ferrari SF90 Stradale here astronomically beats the 911 Turbo S in drag start and rolling races. That’s not a surprise. With the help of an electric motor, the SF90 is much more powerful with a total output of 986 horsepower (735 kilowatts) and 590 pound-feet (800 Newton-meters) of torque. It’s also lighter, weighing in at 3,461 pounds (1,570 kilograms).

Meanwhile, the Porsche 911 Turbo S, with a twin-turbo 3.7-liter flat-six mill, produces 641 hp (478 kW) and 590 lb-ft (800 Nm) of torque. It weighs 3,616 lbs (1,640 kg).
In carwowdrag race, the Ferrari SF90 Stradale completes the quarter-mile sprint in just 9.6 seconds. The Porsche 911 Turbo S trailed by 0.5 seconds, which is a lot to say about drag racing. The video above is proof of that disparity.
That said, if you’re a one-percenter cross-shopping between the SF90 and 911 Turbo S, you’re now told that the extra money you spent on a Ferrari went to the right place. Of course, there are other things but you get the point.
