GM Design Shares Delicious Buick Sedan Concept For Thanksgiving

It’s Thanksgiving in the US and while several Americans are busy preparing their turkey dinner, General Motors Design has other things in mind. Shared on one of its social media channels, the GM design house’s official Instagram showcased the Buick concept at Thanksgiving.

The Buick Concept shown above is reminiscent of the EV Wildcat Concept shown earlier this year. The red vehicle shares some cues with the electric car concept (see gallery below), although its sketch looks more like a sedan than a 2+2 coupe.

The Buick sedan concept posted on Instagram was done by Aaron Riggs or @zambiniftm on social media platforms. According to his LinkedIn, Riggs was GM’s senior creative designer since July 2012. He was also the lead exterior designer for the Cadillac Escala Concept from 2016 and developed the original sketches and clay-scale model for the Buick Avista Concept in 2012.

The EV Wildcat concept is, of course, a preview of Buick’s future design language. It comes with different doors that “will influence future production models of Buick.” Just like the new red sedan concept sketch seen above, it comes with an angular front end, sharp creases, super slim headlights and a trapezoidal grille.

Mirroring the Wildcat EV Concept’s exterior cues, the cabin features at least two digital displays, a sleek dashboard design and cockpit-style seats with cantilever headrests. The red sedan concept doesn’t come with an interior preview.

It’s unclear whether these sketches show a full-blown sedan concept for Buick or perhaps a production model in the near future. All we know is that if it does, it will definitely be battery-powered as Buick will be going full electric by the end of the decade.
