Compliance with the Highway Code is the basis of the ideal way of behaving when driving your vehicle. In fact, the rules are made to always be followed. If you don’t respect them, in some cases you risk really exaggerated fines and the deduction of many points from your driving licence. What do you need to watch out for? Here’s everything you need to know about a specific case. If you commit this move, you risk an extraordinary fine every day.
The Traffic laws it was created to regulate the “life” of anyone on the street. We refer not only to people driving the various motorized vehicles, but also to pedestrians on the street. We are all required to “do our own”, in such a way as to always guarantee maximum safety for anyone.
Very often, unfortunately, we see people making very dangerous moves that are completely prohibited by road regulations. In addition to putting your own safety and that of the other people on the street at that moment at serious risk, you can face exaggerated fines and more.
Travel at a sustained speed that is far above the limits, do not give way at an intersection, do not let pedestrians pass on pedestrian crossings. These are just some of the many examples of serious infringement when you are driving your car.
But did you know that for a specific infringement of the Highway Code you risk paying a fine of more than 600 euros? What are we referring to? Here’s everything you need to know about one thing you will NEVER have to do again in any situation.
Do you make yourself the protagonist of this gesture? Watch out for the fine of very large proportions
When we arrive at an intersection, the correct way to behave is provided by appropriate road signs. At a roundabout with a stop sign, for example, it will be necessary to stop and give priority to those who have already “occupied” the space. Many other crossings, however, are regulated by specific instruments, such as i traffic lights. What happens if you run a red light?
The green light at the traffic light allows you to pass at the intersection, while the red one forces you to stop. In many cases, however, several users who are distracted or disrespectful of this rule “are not interested” in the rule, running a red light and putting general road safety at serious risk.
If a police patrol were to notice you running a red light, you could be immediately stopped and fined. But – as obvious as it is – not all patrols can be present 24 hours a day at every intersection. In recent times, therefore, to limit the phenomenon of running through red lights, cameras have been installed on the various traffic lights in many Italian cities.
The name of these technological traffic lights equipped with sensors and cameras is that of T-Red. The camera allows you to record the license plate of the vehicle passing through the red light. Compared to normal cameras, however, a T-Red traffic light also features well six sensors positioned on the asphalt, a few meters before the stop line.
The service is precise, since the camera takes a first photo when the car passes over the sensors and a second photo when it passes them. The penalty is triggered automatically if the car should have passed the sensors with the traffic light still red.
How much is the fine? If you pass the sensors and stop in a place after the stop line, then the penalty can go from 42 to 173 euros, with deduction of up to two points on the licence. If, on the other hand, you continue straight on, then the fine rises dramatically and can reach up to 660 euros. Furthermore, in this case, up to 6 points can be taken off the driving licence. Finally, fines can also triple during the night.
