Last Opportunity To Order A 2023 Cadillac Escalade In Mahogany Metallic

Posted on

Customers interested in purchasing a 2023 Cadillac Escalade or Escalade ESV in Mahogany Metallic don’t have long to do so, as Cadillac Society has learned that the final order cycle for the exterior color will soon kick off.

According to sources familiar with the matter, the last order cycle for Mahogany Metallic (paint code G48) will start on August 3rd, 2023. Subsequently, the color itself will be built out (discontinued) after the week of September 18th, 2023.

First introduced for the luxury SUV’s 2022 model year, Mahogany Metallic can be combined with all interior colorways available for the 2023 Cadillac Escalade. Currently, it is available in conjunction with every trim level, including Luxury, Premium Luxury, Sport and Escalade-V, as a $625 option.

Currently, the 2023 Cadillac Escalade features a choice of three engine options, starting with the naturally aspirated 6.2L V8 gasoline engine (production code L87) rated at 420 horsepower and 460 foot-pounds of torque, as standard. The turbodiesel 3.0L I6 (production code LM2) is rated at 277 horsepower and 460 pound-feet of torque is optional. The Escalade-V, meanwhile, is powered exclusively by the supercharged V8 engine (production code LT4), which produces a whopping 682 horsepower and 653 pound-feet of torque.

Looking ahead, a midcycle refresh is on deck for the full-size luxury SUV’s 2024 model year. Cadillac Society has already spotted a few examples giving away hints at what’s in store, including a revised front and rear fascias and redesigned cockpit with a crisp pillar-to-pillar infotainment display. Additionally, the full-size luxury SUV will likely gain the Duramax 3.0L I6 turbodiesel engine (production code LZ0) to replace the diesel engine (production code LM2) offered for the 2021, 2022 and 2023 model years.

We expect to find out more about the refreshed Escalade soon, as the refreshed Escalade is slated to enter production in just a few months, so be sure to subscribe to Cadillac Society for the latest Cadillac Escalade news and around-the-clock Cadillac news coverage.
