Little by little, the offer of electric quadricycles in Spain is expanding with the arrival of new models that seek to establish themselves as an affordable alternative to the electric cars in use. After the Invicta Pony, Silence S04 and XEV YOYO, the latest model to join this group has been the coquettish microlinowhose development we have followed closely for years.
This Redo of the mythical isetta has debuted during Automobile Barcelona, an event that has served to confirm its rates. The nice bubble car of Swiss origin and Italian production will be available in two versions, both with the same propulsion system: Dolce (22,900 euros) and Competizione (23,560 euros). The special launch edition Pioneer Series stays at 23,400 euros.
The Microlino is a heavy quadricycle (category L7e). It combines a 17 HP (12.5 kW) and 89 Nm motor with a 10.7 kWh battery, giving it a range of 175 km. It does 0-50 km/h in 4.9 seconds and reaches a top speed of 90 km/h, so it can venture on the highways, although its natural habitat is the city.
Subsequently, the range will be completed with two other packs: one of 6 kWh (91 km of autonomy) and another of 14 kWh (230 km of autonomy). In addition, it will also be available as a light quadricycle (category L6e). This variant, called Microlino Lite, will be limited to 45 km/h. Another model that will be added to the offer will be the Microlino Spiagginaa very beachy convertible with no windows or rear window.
The Microlino has been designed for the city
with a length of 2.52 meters, this two-seater has been designed to be able to park perpendicular to the curb, while the front opening door allows easy access or exit from the vehicle. Unlike other quads, its chassis is a monocoque type, which should provide better safety rates.
Thanks to its large glass area, visibility should be good. The trunk, which is opened with a key or from the passenger compartment itself, has a capacity of 230 litersa rather remarkable figure in relation to the external dimensions of the Microlino.
The standard equipment will be relatively complete for its segment. The Dolce finish will include full LED headlights, central locking, cloth sunroof, fabric and synthetic leather upholstery, digital instrumentation, heating, Bluetooth connectivity and several USB sockets. The Competizione will add Dinamica microfiber and vegan leather upholstery with orange stitching, as well as specific hubcaps.
